I have never done a post like this one before but I thought it was about time. As many of you know the majority of my blog content is about food and recipes that are compliant with the autoimmune protocol. That being said, food is just one aspect of a healthy lifestyle and there are so many great resources out there that at times it can be overwhelming! Can anyone say information overload?!
To help you narrow it down I thought I would share with you guys some of my favorite blogs that helped me with my transition to a greener and cleaner lifestyle. I am in no way an expert and I have learned a lot from these fabulous websites and the ladies that run them.
The very first blog I ever read in this category was Modern Hippie Health and Wellness. I started by checking out the DIY category and I found a load of skincare recipes, some of which I still use today. One of my current favorite posts from Carly is her Traditional Homemade Sauerkraut Recipe which happens to be AIP friendly. Carly truly embodies a green lifestyle and I always get a lot of motivation from reading her posts. She makes it seem easy! Don’t want to make your own DIY skincare recipes? You can purchase Modern Hippie Products here.
The second blog I discovered was The Wellness Mama. I especially love her Natural Home section as it has a lot of DIY recipes for cleaning your home as well as a wealth of other posts from the benefits of going barefoot and how to homestead in the city. She also sends out a weekly newsletter that I highly recommend!

The third blog I read regularly is Phoenix Helix. I really enjoy reading the lifestyle section of her blog. She has a variety of posts from The Mind Body Connection to the Emotional Freedom Technique to laughter as the best medicine. On a side note she also has a  large amount of AIP friendly recipes and hosts the Paleo AIP Recipe Roundtable each week which is a round up of new AIP recipes.
Number four on my list is Megtherhn. Meg is one of the nicest people I know and she has a fantastic podcast that covers nearly every topic you have thought of.  From balancing hormones to candida to intermittent fasting and chocolate addictions. If you have questions, she has answers! Plus she spreads happiness wherever she goes! So if you need a little sunshine in your life, check her out!
My fifth and final favorite healthy living blog is one that I found about six months ago, Laura’s Natural Life. I am in love with this blog! Laura makes beauty videos on YouTube and I have found so many great clean beauty products based on her reviews. If you are a beauty lover, then you must check this site out! Bonus-Laura is also a holistic wellness educator!
So there you have it! My top 5 healthy living blogs! I would love to hear what your favorites are in the comments below!
