How to Make this Rice-Free and Grain-Free

This recipe is naturally gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and additive-free, making it a healthier alternative to store-bought taco seasoning mixes. Plus, it’s easy to make and can be customized to suit your taste preferences.

If you need to make this Core AIP compliant, simply omit the black pepper, cumin, coriander, and annatto. Instead, substitute more ginger, cilantro, and oregano in their places. This will give your seasoning mix a unique twist while still providing the heat and flavors you crave!

How to Use and Store this Modified AIP Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix Spice Blend

To use this spice mix in Modified AIP recipes, simply add it to ground grass-fed beef, organic chicken, heritage pork, or wild-caught seafood while cooking. It can also be used as a dry rub for meats or sprinkled on roasted veggies for added flavor!

To store this homemade taco seasoning mix, transfer it to an airtight container and keep it in a cool, dry place. This will help prevent caking and ensure that your seasoning mix stays fresh for longer.

What’s Up with the Seeds and Black Pepper?

You might be wondering why this modified AIP recipe includes seed-based and fruit-based spices. The Modified AIP is a less strict version of the Core (original) AIP that is based on study results!

It allows for certain ingredients during the elimination phase that are typically excluded in the Core AIP. To learn more about the Modified AIP and its benefits, click here!
