Slow Cooker

Everyone should have a slow cooker in their kitchen, especially during the fall and winter months! You will probably crave the ritual of cooking a lot of hot meals that warm your family’s bellies when the temperature gets colder outside.

The slow cooker lets you make nutritious meals like my popular AIP Hamburger Soup, stew, chili, shredded chicken, pulled pork, or even pork chops!

“Setting it and forgetting it” makes food so much more convenient to prepare. If you are busy running errands on a Sunday, you can put all the ingredients into the slow cooker, run your errands, then return home in the afternoon to a meal that is just about done.

bakeware and casseroles

Reduce inflammation, reconfirm food triggers, realign eating habits, and reset your baseline – all while using mouth-watering, allergy-friendly recipes that use minimal ingredients but are fully packed with flavor so you never feel deprived!

Bakeware and Casseroles

If you are going to cook meals in the oven, you will definitely need some baking dishes, pans, and bakeware in various sizes and materials.

You can make so many different meals and desserts using bakeware. Get a variety of sizes to have on hand, from small ramekins if you want to make mini custards, to baking sheet pans for AIP Sheet Pan Recipes, and deep dishes for creamy, hot casseroles.

I personally LOVE stoneware (greased with a clean oil like this avocado oil) because it is toxin-free, traditional, and beautiful! Silicone, cast iron, stainless, and glassware are all safe materials as well.

Avoid non-stick coated pans as much as possible as they are full of harmful toxins that disrupt the endocrine system and your health.

pressure cooker

Pressure Cooker

A pressure cooker, whether stovetop or electric (like the Instant Pot), is an excellent appliance to use for speeding up your meal! You can make so many different things with a pressure cooker – including meat, veggies, and desserts, even!

Pressure cookers also help to retain more of the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals from your foods, while cooking them more quickly than stovetop pots or slow cookers would. This way you can get dinner on the table in the blink of an eye!

spiralizer

Spiralizer

This is a type of tool that turns your vegetables into long, playful pasta shapes.  The most commonly spiralized veggies are zucchini and yellow squash, but you can also make noodles out of carrots, winter squashes, sweet potatoes, beets, even apples!

It helps you get pasta that is grain-free, gluten-free, and full of nutrients and fiber, and goes great in AIP casseroles like this one, or as a plate full of noodles with meat sauce.

Don’t feel like spiralizing? Grab these cassava pasta noodles instead!

Spiralized veggies are perfect for your healthy AIP meals when you want to have more vegetables by making the pasta at home!
