The other day I was out with some friends and one of them ordered a hot apple cider. I was suddenly reminded how much I use to enjoy hot apple cider this time of year. So I decided to do some research on how apple cider was made and was ecstatic to learn it is actually really easy to make your own at home! Now I will no longer have hot apple cider envy and can bring my own in a travel mug.

The best part is that I am still getting local apples in my grocery store. So hurry before the organic local apples are gone!

  4. When you think of apple cider, you probably think of fall. A warm sweet glass full of apples and spice that warms the body on a cool fall day and this delicious drink is where this miracle tonic gets its start.

So happy you enjoyed this drink, Janice!

  5. Making it now and it smells delicious! I was wondering if you mix the apple juice and the water together at the end?

    1. Meagen Ashley says:

      Hi Candyce,

I’m happy you’re enjoying the aroma! So the water will have been mostly boiled off by the time it is done cooking, leaving pretty much just apple juice at the end. So you can enjoy it as-is once it’s done!

      I hope this helps,
      xo
